Tomorrow we have a holiday. And I got 5 kronor from the gentle doctor to enjoy myself for. I think I shall bid N. on anything pleasant. Yesterday I was to the new art-hall in Djurgården. There was an exhibition of Zorn, Carl Larsson and Bruno Liljefors. And, oh, how nice, grand, beautiful and great it all was. All the rising children pictures by Larsson. And those wonderful, natural animal pictures by Liljefors. And so all those lovely, fine and beautiful women pictures by Zorn.
I thought before going there, that I should not like Zorns pictures, because his women are so fat and in bad taste. But it was not at all so. Some of them were fat and big and not very fine, but the most of them were so lovely, sweet and handsome, that one got rather overcome. I think that his loveliest pictures were “I kälkbacken”, “Gobelin” and “Fjorton år tror jag visst att jag var”. And his portraits were excellent, (splendid). Oh, how the sun is shining now! And how fine it is.

On sunday evening we were by F:s and it was rather pleasant. The two girls, Karin and Anna-Lisa are so nice. Later in the evening the notair came. At half 3 on sunday N. and I were on the concert, to which I got tickets from volrat. Oh, such beautiful song we heard. There were Ake Wallgren and Karin Branzell from the Opera and some others.
My gown is now ready, and I am very content with her. She is very simple but really fine, and she suits me very well. Oh, now the spring is soon coming. How glad I am for that! Oh, how I love the spring and the summer. Could they only last much longer than they do.

How busy I have been this last day. All morning I have sat indoors to sew om my gown. Now I can not do more, before anyone have helped me to see how the gown is, taken on. And N. will come up on Monday and help me.
Today I shall call on major Grahl and say my thanks for that pleasant dinnerparty last saturday. On Wednesday evening N. and I were invited to miss L. There were seven girls and we had a cup of coffee and danced, played piano and I also sung. It was very pleasant to dance a little. It is so seldom I may dance now so I fear I rather will forget it. Yesterday Volrat telephoned and asked me if I would have a concertticket. Yes, I would. So then he would send it to me. It is a concert in the Blasieholms church. At half 3. I wonder if I shall go alone. N. will come up now in the sundaymorning and help me with my gown. We are invited to Forsberg, the doctor and I, this evening, and I should like to have my new gown on then. Now I will go and telephone to N. The clock is half 10. I am afraid she has not risen from bed yet.

Well, our dinner party was allright. But it was not so pleasant as that hos Grahls, because there was not so much young people. It was only notary and I. But we got very good salmon and chickens and ice. And that extraordinary Rehnwine. Very good indeed. After the dinner the gentlemen smoked in my room and I dared to take a cigarette before old Herlitz came in. Then I disappeared.
And when the gentlemen later in the evening sat down to play bridge, I sat and looked gentle well bread with the ladies and eat plenty of fruit and sweets. And an apple and some pieces of sweets. I hid for next day. And at half past nine the supper was eaten, and then the invited departed.
But I was not at all sleepy, so I would not go to bed at once, and when I came into my room, I was met by a strong scent of smoke. ”Oh”, I thought,”now I will make use of this”, and so I sat down pulled up from my drawer two cigaretteboxes, which I have got from uncle Paul, and so I lighted a perfect “Ladies First”.
And as I had got a letter from my dear cousin Greta just that morning, I begun to answer that. And after a while I went to bed in those clouds of smoke. Yesterday I was invited to that charming girl Ragnhild G. in the morning. We had a cup of coffee with very good cakes and we chattered with her eldest brother, who will become a medical man. And so I must play on the piano, of course. Today I shall go out shopping to buy silk to a gown. I shall sew it myself.

What a pleasant dinnerparty yesterday! As I had Annes silkgown I was as fine as the other ladies. And when arrived there to mayor Grahls the doctor and I were introduced to several ladies and gentlemen. There were friherrinnan Wrangel, doktorinnan Ramberg, doktorinnan Forsberg and daughters, Anna-Lisa and Karin. And so there were mayor Axelsson, greve Spens, lieutenant Sundelin, ingenjör Eurén and notary Forsberg. And so at last but not least the very, very pleasant hostess and host and their boys, Eric and Hjalmar.
And after the good dinner, we girls and young men sat in Erics room and smoked cigarettes, and so the hostess played so we danced, and the host danced the first waltz with me! And then I danced with all the other young men but Eric, he said that he would so much liked to dance with me also, but as he was the youngest of the dancers he must wait, and as all the others always come first, and so on. It was a very pleasant evening indeed and I was very content, when the doctor and I went home. I wonder how it would be today.
