Friday march 24 1916. Oh, how the sun is shining now!

Tomorrow we have a holiday. And I got 5 kronor from the gentle doctor to enjoy myself for. I think I shall bid N. on anything pleasant. Yesterday I was to the new art-hall in Djurgården. There was an exhibition of Zorn, Carl Larsson and Bruno Liljefors. And, oh, how nice, grand, beautiful and great it all was. All the rising children pictures by Larsson. And those wonderful, natural animal pictures by Liljefors. And so all those lovely, fine and beautiful women pictures by Zorn.

I thought before going there, that I should not like Zorns pictures, because his women are so fat and in bad taste. But it was not at all so. Some of them were fat and big and not very fine, but the most of them were so lovely, sweet and handsome, that one got rather overcome. I think that his loveliest pictures were “I kälkbacken”, “Gobelin” and “Fjorton år tror jag visst att jag var”. And his portraits were excellent, (splendid). Oh, how the sun is shining now! And how fine it is.
